Al Amerat lies over the hills south of Ruwi, reached through the Amerat road, and has grown quickly as housing pressure pushed inland. It is predominantly residential across its numbered phases, with local shopping centres, schools, clinics and family restaurants. Amerat Park and the wadi trails are its recreation.
