Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel — Qurum Heights The grandest room in the country, set between the mountains and its own beach. Capacity around 800 in the ballroom. Starting from roughly OMR 15,000 for a full evening with catering.

Mid-Range
Crowne Plaza Muscat / Muscat Holiday Hotels — Qurum & Al Khuwair Reliable ballrooms with in-house catering and packages that scale. Capacity 300–600. From around OMR 4,000–7,000.
Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre — Azaiba Very large capacity for anything above 1,000 guests, with full AV and parking. Priced per hall; catering is contracted separately.
Community & Budget
Wedding halls in Seeb, Al Amerat, Mabela and Al Khoudh Purpose-built halls used for the majority of Omani weddings — large capacity, separate men's and women's sections, and bring-your-own or contracted catering. Typically OMR 300–1,500 for the hall itself, with catering on top at roughly OMR 3–8 per head.
Majlis tents For home celebrations, tent hire with furnishing, cooling and lighting runs around OMR 500–2,500 depending on size and season.
What Drives the Cost
- Guest count above all — catering per head dominates the budget
- Season — October to March is peak; summer rates are meaningfully lower
- Separate sections — most weddings need two spaces, which changes the venue shortlist
- Ramadan and Eid — book six to twelve months out around those dates
Practical Advice
- Confirm the real capacity seated with the stage and buffet in place, not the theoretical number
- Get the catering menu tasted before signing
- Check parking — 400 guests is 150 cars
- Ask what the venue does not include — AV, decor, stage and photography are usually extra
